Location: possible to work remotely globally (Geneva HQ)

Mission 89 is a research, education, and advocacy organization that fights the exploitation of young athletes through social and economic transformation.

Marketing Internship

The Marketing Intern supports the management team as a whole, and acts individually in helping Mission 89 position itself as a global player in the advocacy for anti-trafficking measures and laws. This role works closely with the communications team to develop a promotion strategy aimed at engaging with key stakeholders and increasing funding channels.

Primary Responsibilities

· Liaise with the Director (and relevant board members) to develop marketing objectives

· Develop KPI’s based on Mission 89’s current development stage

· Generate innovative marketing strategies targeting different audiences

· Assist in establishing and maintaining good relations with other NGOs and Civil Society Organisations, Political Institutions, Sport Authorities and Multinationals and other stakeholders, and looking into expanding funding channels through these partners

· Liaise with Social Media Intern to develop new content for digital marketing content

· Coordinate with communications team on content release management

· Create and edit presentations for potential stakeholders and other pitch material

· Generate basic promotion content to support Social media strategies

· Designing marketing materials for ongoing projects

· Organize and attend events.

Key Skills Required for the Role

· Creative self-starter who is comfortable taking initiative

· Majoring (or graduate) in marketing, PR, Business Administration, Media, English Literature

· Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills

· Be on top of the latest digital marketing trends

· Experience with Microsoft applications, basic photo-editing software, and internet browsers

· An interest in Human/Children’s Rights and/or Sport Integrity is preferred but not required.

Eligibility

· This internship is open to recent graduates, and college students

· During the academic year (September – May), college credit may be arranged

· This is a part-time unpaid internship with the possibility to develop into a full-time employment

· Available to work 10-20 hours per week (according to workload).
